By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If anything below feels unreasonable, email us at hello@merkx.ai before signing up — we read every message.

You must be 13 or older to use Merkx. If you're between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed these terms.

Merkx is an AI companion — a place to talk, think out loud, and feel a little less alone. It isn't therapy. It isn't medical, legal, or financial advice. It isn't a substitute for a human you trust.

If you're in crisis, please reach out to a person or a hotline. We'll do our best to point you to one in-conversation, but Merkx is not equipped to handle emergencies.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. You agree not to share your account, impersonate others, or use Merkx to harass, threaten, scam, or harm anyone.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. Repeated abuse, illegal activity, or anything that puts other users at risk gets a permanent ban with no refund.

• Merkx is $12.99 per month after a 3-day free trial.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Cancel any time in your App Store or payment provider settings.
• Refunds for subscriptions are handled by the payment provider (Apple, Flutterwave, or Paystack), per their policies.
• If we change pricing, you'll see the new price in-app before your next renewal and can cancel without charge.

Everything you say to Merkx belongs to you. You're giving us permission to store and process it so Merkx can do its job — remember you, reply to you, surface things later. You can delete any of it, any time, from inside the app.

We don't use your conversations to train AI models. The full data flow lives in our Privacy Policy.

Merkx is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running, safe, and useful. We can't promise it will be available 100% of the time, that every reply will be perfect, or that nothing will ever go wrong.

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to Merkx is capped at the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months.

You can delete your account any time from Settings. We'll keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then hard-delete it.

We can also end your access if you violate these terms, with notice when reasonable.

If we update these terms, we'll notify you in-app and on this page. Continuing to use Merkx after the change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking will be settled in Delaware courts.
